We don't control the wine.
We accompany it.
We believe in a way of doing things that is born in the land. We observe, listen and intervene only when necessary, so that each wine preserves the energy of the vineyard and expresses the place where it comes from.
This is how our wines
come to life
From the vineyard to the cellar, each step responds to a way of doing things: observing, caring and intervening only when necessary. Because we don't control the wine. We accompany it.
01 — The land comes first.
Varieties that explain Penedès
We make our wines with traditional Penedès varieties to preserve and express the identity of our territory. Each grape is a way of explaining the landscape, the history and the people who have worked it.

02 — The care begins in the vineyard. Manual harvest, grape by grape
We harvest by hand and in 20 kg boxes to take care of each grape and select it directly in the vineyard. Because a good wine doesn't start in the cellar. It starts much earlier.
03 — Native yeasts and spontaneous fermentations
We work with the native yeasts present in the grapes and encourage spontaneous fermentations to preserve the energy of the vineyard. This is where life makes its way and adventures begin.

04 — Traditional method, cork and must
We make our sparkling wines following the traditional method, inspired by a way of making that is part of the history of Penedès. During the aging we use natural cork stoppers, which favors a slower, finer and more harmonious evolution. For the second fermentation we use grape must, which provides the sugar naturally.

It is born from the earth. We work to ensure that it endures.
Today
A path of your own
We continue to explore, test and build our own path. Each wine is a story to discover and a different way to connect with the Penedès.
First community
The shared impulse
The project is gaining momentum thanks to a first crowdfunding campaign, which helps us carry out the first productions and begin to create a community around our wines.
2023
The project takes shape
Amat Montané is officially born with the entry into the Viver de Cellers de Vilafranca del Penedès, a space that allows us to begin winemaking with more resources, technology and criteria.
2018
The first tests
We started making our first wines in the family parking lot. Without large facilities, but with great enthusiasm. Treading grapes, tasting, learning and letting ourselves be guided by intuition.
THE
OUR
PATH

“We don't control the wine, we accompany it”
We don't control the wine. We accompany it.
Intervening less means trusting more: in the vineyard, in the weather and in everything that cannot always be foreseen.
We work with minimal intervention and maximum care, respecting the natural rhythms of the wine and making decisions only when necessary. We like to observe, listen and let each vintage express itself honestly.
We don't make wines to hide them behind technique. We make wines that explain where they come from, what they've experienced and where they want to go.
What defines us
Roots
We come from wine-growing families in the Penedès. Wine is our way of recovering the stories, crafts and ways of doing things that are part of the territory.
Exploration
We are driven by a restless spirit: to discover, to try and to go off the beaten track. We make wines for curious palates.
Minimal intervention
Manual harvest, native yeasts and fair interventions. We let the wine express itself without disguise.
Balance
We look for wines that are lively, clean and with character. Wines with personality, but designed to be enjoyed.
Territory
Local varieties, Olèrdola vineyards and materials such as chestnut boots or earthenware amphorae. The Penedès is not just a place: it is the starting point.

Penedès as a starting point
We make our wines at the Viver de Cellers in Vilafranca del Penedès, a shared space that allows us to make wine with professional facilities, optimize resources and reduce environmental impact.
The vineyards we work with are located in Olèrdola, in plots linked to our family and our territory. We select the grapes with criteria and defend a fair relationship with the winegrower, paying above average and putting the work of those who take care of the land at the center.
Because before there is wine, there is a vineyard. And before there is a bottle, there are people.

We are Celler La Llena
and this is our story

A life project rooted in the mountains
Celler La Llena was born in Vilanova de Prades, a small mountain town located at the end of the Conca de Barberà.
A demanding environment, with a very marked identity, which outlines our way of working and gives meaning to the whole project.
Here we make natural high-altitude wines, of limited production, with an artisanal way of doing things and a clear look towards the territory, the landscape and the rural future.
About us
A life project????
Ernest and Iris are behind the project.
We are winegrowers, producers, oenologists, winemakers, traders and everything needed to make the project work.
Ernest brings the experience of a lifetime dedicated to mountain agriculture. He started making wine when he was only 10 years old, with the help of his grandfather, and he always knew that one day he would set up his own winery.
Iris is a biochemist and biotechnologist, specialized in microbiology and oenology. The daughter of wine growers, I always wanted to continue the family legacy, bringing scientific knowledge and a technical perspective to the project.
We were united by our passion for wine and agriculture, and from that union came the project with which we will enter the market in 2022.
Since then, we have worked, learned, evolved and consolidated a project that is not just our job: it is our way of life.

Vilanova de Prades
Conca de Barbera
Vilanova de Prades is a mountain town inhabited by just over 70 people.
A fragile environment but full of value, where making wine is also a way to defend the territory.
We actively contribute to prevent the rural exodus, maintain the agricultural heritage and landscape, and recover the winemaking tradition of the area.
Our terroño de llicorella (slate), known here as llacurell, is a key part of the identity of our wines. It is this soil, together with the altitude and the climate, that makes our wines so unique.
